Ontario is banning the use of e-cigarettes and the smoking and vaping of medical marijuana in public places, workplaces and outdoor areas now covered with existing smoking laws.
Premier Kathleen Wynne says it make sense to bring them under the same laws governing cigarettes.
The government’s has put the proposed change to the Smoke-Free Ontario and Electronic Cigarettes Acts out for public comment with the intent of them becoming law later this year
