The Ear Falls Sawmill has a new owner.
Interfor has completed a major acquisition of Eacom Timber.
The Vancouver-based company says the purchase will increase their lumber capacity by 25%.
Interfor has operations in Canada and the United States and has annual lumber production capacity of 4.9 billion board feet.
The company says it offers a diverse line of lumber products to customers around the world and employs roughly 3,400 people.
The deal to buy the the eastern Canada lumber producer is worth $490 million.
