New PACE Chair Has Money to Hand Out

Patricia Area Community Endeavor has $50,000 for groups in the non-profit sector.

The money is earmarked for member communities to identify economic opportunities that would benefit the entire Region.

Former Ignace Mayor Suzanne Smith is the new Chair of PACE and says they want to look at helping outlying communities such as Pickle Lake.

The Community Development Committee meets each month to review proposals that can access up to $5,000 in funding.

PACE is also offering commercial loans up to $125,000 along with training for interested entrepreneurs looking to develop the economy of local communities.
