The City of Dryden has hired a new Pet Control Officer as Camille Cox has been awarded the 3-year contract.
Acting Police Chief Kevin Glenister says Cox was selected as she committed to a public education campaign about being a responsible pet owner.
The previous Pet Control provider fielded 455 calls and complaints last year and no violation tickets were issued.
A total of 49-animals were impounded.
Cox will also be on call 24-hours a day and will commit 30-hours a week of patrolling.
