Next week is Kindergarten Registration Week and all schools will be hosting virtual events due to COVID-19.
New Prospect in Dryden will be holding an Open House and online tour and presentation on Tuesday, March 2.
Instructor Jennifer Bartlett says, “It will be through a live Zoom meeting. During the meeting our school mascot is going to take us on a school-wide virtual tour where we will introduce our staff and we will walk through a day in the life of a kindergarten at New Prospect School.”
Bartlett says the session is geared towards parents so they can get a closer look at the school environment and the programs that are available.
Instructor Candace Bullock-Nyberg says there will be a surprise this year.
“We’ve been asking around and nobody seems to know the name of our mascot ‘The Hawk’. So we thought a fun way to get everybody involved would be to have a contest to name our hawk. And we will announce the winning name at our Open House.”

The March 2 event is scheduled for 6:00 pm until 6:45 pm.
