A project that will not only help students at New Prospect School but the entire community is in the final ten of on-line voting in the Tbaytel ‘Good Schools Program’.
The school is hoping to build an outdoor rink and is now relying on your votes to help start making the dream a reality.
Vice-Principal Ryan Graham believes the rink will also have a positive impact on the north part of Dryden.
Graham says the long-term vision is having the rink as a leadership program for the kids in the Hockey Academy.
He says kids will learn more about rink maintenance, making sure the rink is safe and shovelling off snow for use of the rink.
Graham is encouraging the public to cast a vote in an effort to crack the top five.
Voting ends November 5th and you can vote five times a day.
The project is the brainchild of Lorna Tremonti.
