New Prospect Student Cuts Hair For Dryden CT Scan Unit

Two-thousand more dollars will be going towards the Dryden Regional Health Centre’s CT Scan Renewal Fund.

9-year-old Julia Wrolstad cut her hair in front of the students at New Prospect School to raise money for the new unit.

Wrolstad says she will also be donating the hair that was cut to make a wig for someone who lost their hair from chemotherapy treatment.

Her mother Beth Wrolstad is amazed by her daughter’s efforts mentioning that she raised $1400 by herself and the school helped raise another $600.

Events were held at the school all week to raise money and awareness including a dance and a hot dog day.

Beth Wrolstad also says a lot of her family came out to support Julia since many in there family have dealt with the effects of the disease.
