Students at New Prospect School in Dryden are taking time to talk about the benefits of the “Maker Space” program.
The library was renovated to create a creative and innovative area aimed at improving science, technology, engineering and math skills.
Students showcased their creations yesterday and Chelsea Oltsher says there are tons of activities where they learn to collaborate and she also says it helps students learn various skills including curiosity and perseverance.
Her project was developing an interactive Dance Game, where she used building materials and other tools to make idea come to life.
Cohen Lawrence Price says it is a place they can go and make whatever they want and also make it come to life.
Price also says for all of the projects that were on display including his Marble Run, they had three weeks plan, design and create their projects.
