A jump in the number of new COVID-19 cases in the Kenora and Rainy River Districts.
The Northwestern Health Unit reports the latest in the Sioux Lookout area where there are six active cases, including two new ones reported Thursday.
Officials are now making contact with anyone who may have been in close contact with the individuals.
This brings the total number of positive cases in the region to 36 since the pandemic began, 30 have since been resolved.
