Tough new rules for young drivers in Ontario are now in effect.
They include zero alcohol tolerance for drivers who are under the age of 22, regardless of what kind of licence they have.
Dryden Police Chief Shayne MacKinnon supports the move.
MacKinnon says the regulations are designed to reduce traffic collisions and save lives.
Anyone breaking the new rules will have their licence suspended immediately for 24 hours and face a further suspension of 30-days plus a fine of up to $500.
