A new School has officially opened its doors in the remote Northwestern
Ontario community of Deer Lake First Nation.
The $13 million facility can accommodate up to 354 students from
kindergarten to Grade 10.
Kenora MP Roger Valley says the school provides a strong learning
environment while maintaining the First Nations language and cultural
heritage.
The facility is also equipped with the latest equipment and computer
labs.
Deer Lake is located 180-kilometres north of Red Lake.
