New School Year Will Start After Labour Day

Local students will get an expanded Summer break.

Trustees with the Keewatin-Patricia District School Board have approved a recommendation to start the 2017-2018 school year after Labour Day.

Superintendent of Education Joan Kantola says they received over 15 responses to their on-line survey and about 59% of those who voted wanted the later start to the school year.
