The new Superior International Junior Hockey League team will be known as the Norskies.
The Minnesota based team has made the announcement, stating it was selected because of the strong Norwegian presence in the community.
The organization is now in recruitment mode in preparation for its inaugural year in the SIJHL.
Team officials are expected to be in Dryden this coming weekend for the league’s Annual General Meeting.
