Major upgrades are coming to the Dryden Memorial Arena.
The Dryden GM Ice Dogs have announced a corporate sponsorship agreement with Oshtugon Computers to install a new and state-of-the-art sound system.
Owner Frank Head says they wanted to give something back to the community.
Head says they are proud to sponsor the project and expand their presence in Dryden.
People in the arena will now hear crisp-sharp audio and the PA system will be used by all user groups at no cost to taxpayers.
All user groups will be able to utilize the PA system and Ed Trist has come forward to help in installation.
Ice Dogs President Terry Menard says it’s a great day for the community and for organized sports in Dryden.
There is a second phase to the project and Menard is hoping others will come forward to help complete the work.
The new system should be in place for Saturday’s home opener.
