New Technology for First Nation Communities

Broadband technology has been expanded in Northwestern Ontario.
Officials with the Federal Government and Telesat launched the Northern Indigenous Community Satellite
Network in Sioux Lookout Wednesday.
20 First Nation communities in the Far North will be able to access
telehealth, distance education and video-conferencing services without
leaving home.
New technology will be installed at schools, band offices and police
stations.
