Newfie Night Dinner Will Help Area Athletes

It’s a summertime tradition in Dryden and it’s being held this year on June 1st.
The Newfoundland Labrador Heritage Club is preparing for the Annual Newfie Night Seafood Dinner and Dance.
Ron Denis and Mike Wood were guests on the CKDR Morning Show today.
Denis says proceeds from this years event will go to the Eagles on Track program.
Wood says the money will be used to resurface the High School Track.
Denis says the club started 20-years-ago and has blossomed from there.
He notes at one point they had roughly 625-people at the dinner and dance but stresses this year they are only selling 500-tickets.
The deadline to purchase tickets is May 27th.
