Nick Beyak says he’s excited to return to municipal politics.
The Dryden businessman has been selected to fill a vacant seat at the Council table.
Beyak says he was approached by Council a couple of months ago and he has always believed that if you are asked to help or serve the community that you can’t say no.
Beyak says he has no agenda and notes his first priority is getting brought up to speed on issues impacting the community.
He notes his number one priority is serving the best interests of the community.
Beyak thinks it will be an advantage that he briefly served as the Interim Chief Administrative Officer last Summer.
He says he understands and has some empathy for what goes on on the staff side and the process of implementing and acting on recommendations from Council.
As for a possible run in the 2018 Municipal election, Beyak chuckled stating he’s way too busy to even give the idea any thought.
