Nipigon Fire Chief Dies in Single Vehicle Crash

The Chief of the Nipigon Volunteer Fire Department is dead following a motor vehicle collision near the community Saturday night.
Roy Cross was the victim of a single vehicle mishap on Highway 11-17, two kilometres west of Nipigon.
Mayor Richard Harvey says he enjoyed working with Cross.
Harvey says Cross was well liked and a great ambassador for the community.
Funeral arrangements are pending.
