Nishnawbe-Aski Business Awards

The Nishnawbe-Aski Development Fund has recognized 2-area aboriginal business leaders.
Edna Beardy of Sachigo Lake First Nation received the award for Business Woman of the Year and Margaret Kenequanash was named Executive of the Year at the Fund’s Business Awards in Timmins earlier this week.
Beardy was recognized for establishing “Henry’s Place”, a popular hang-out for residents in Sachigo Lake.
Kenequanash works in Sioux Lookout and handles human and financial resources for First Nation communities across the North.
