Members of the Nishnawbe-Aski Police Service will be recognized at the 5th honours awards ceremony tonight in Thunder Bay.
Officer of the year goes to Constable Robert McPhail, and a diamond jubilee will be presented to Constable Marc Beaparlant for his work with the Drug Abuse Resistance Education Program.
Retired Sgt Bob Baxter will also receive a jubilee for his work with victims.

Civilian of the Year – Ian De Lon and an honorable mention to Helen DeFranceschi
Investigation of the Year – D/Cst. Brad Duce
Bravery – Cst. Blain Joynson and Sgt. Raymond Sutherland
Lifesaving – Cst. Conrad Paypompee, Cst. Andrew Dunn, Cst. Simon Chartrand, Cst. Troy Larose and Cst. Shannon Parks
The Wilfred Chum Coach Officer Award – Cst. Jassen Metatawabin
Community Service – Cst. Bradley Skrzypek, Cst. Waylon Linklater and Cst. Dwaine Howe.
Chief of Police Citation – Ms. Mary Friday (Guard), and OPP Communications Center
Sgt. David Bosworth is awarded the Governor General of Canada Exemplary Service Medal.
