Nishnawbe Aski Police Service chief fired following suspension

The Nishnawbe Aski Police Service’s board has announced that their suspended chief of police has been fired.

Former Chief Roland Morrison was suspended in March due to an investigation into misconduct allegations.

Interim Chief Terry Armstrong has agreed to remain in his role while the board works through the situation.

Armstrong was the NAPS Chief of Police from 2013-2018.

The board says they will not be commenting on the firing of the former chief at this time.
