The Rainy River district stands to benefit from Rainy River Resources proposed open-pit gold mine.
The company has released a preliminary economic assessment of the project.
Vice-president Nick Nikolakakis says the $786-million project expects to be profitable within 4-years.
The mine would employee as many as 618 people with 675 working in the construction phase.
