The Province’s new Minister of Transportation has come to the aid of
the City of Dryden.
Donna Cansfield has confirmed the Province has no intention to move
ahead with a Highway 17 Bypass within the next 20-years.
Mayor Anne Krassilowsky says over 3-years of lobbying against the plan
has paid off.
Krassilowsky says the impact of a Bypass would have been
devastating.
She notes the City will work with the MOT to improve the
existing highway and ease congestion.
