Most municipalities in the Kenora and Rainy River Districts will get a bit of a break on the amount of money they contribute to the Northwestern Health Unit next year.
The board of the Health Unit has approved a per capita
levy of 54 dollars and 33 cents, which is the same as this year.
Dr. Pete Sarsfield is the Medical Officer of Health for the region and says because the population is decreasing, the actual amount of money they collect from local municipalties will decrease next year.

Sarsfield says they will collect about 2.66 million dollars from local municipalties in 2007, which is 86 thousand dollars less than this year.
