It was a quiet couple of days for Ministry of Natural Resources fire
crews however officials stress they are not out of the woods yet.
5 new fires were reported on the weekend, 4 in the Sioux Lookout area
and 1 in Red Lake.
Information Officer Travis Moffatt says all of the fires were small
and quickly contained.
Moffatt says they are concerned about the fire situation in the North
because of the threat of lightning in the Red Lake-Sioux Lookout districts.
He says the MNR has already recorded 14,000 lightning strikes from
that storm.
No Major Fires Reported
