No Money In Reserves Results In Move

A separate account has been set up for water reserves in the City of Dryden.
Council demanded the move, outraged that money from water users has been spent on other projects such as road repairs and general maintenance
The money saved will be go to future water system upgrades as well as a new water treatment plant.
Council will have the authority to approve or decline every transaction from that account.
Chief Administrative Officer Andre Larabie says this should have been done years ago.
Larabie says City management and the water department have never set money aside and stresses that right now “the well is so dry that the stones are dropping.”
Councillor Sid Wintle says the City should be taking a look at the entire water system.
