The Dryden Police Service says they will be eliminating lunch-hour crossing guards at local schools.
Chief Rob Davis says this move will save the city about $15,000 a year.
He adds that officers will beef up enforcement in these areas.
Davis says most students don’t go home during the lunch hour and the ones who do are older.
The move is effective March 4th.
