No More Greyhound

Greyhound Canada is ceasing operations in Northwestern Ontario and Manitoba.
In Northwestern Ontario, Greyhound is giving 90 days’ notice to the Ontario Transport Board, meaning local service will stop as of December 2nd.
Greyhound says its giving 30 days’ notice to the Manitoba Highway Traffic Board so that passenger tickets sold to
date in that province can be honoured.
Stuart Kendrick, senior vice-president of Greyhound Canada, says the company is in a “dire” financial situation, and that both levels of government are to blame.
Dryden Greyhound Manager Dennis Lawrynuik notes this is preliminary move in a complex issue.
Lawrynuik says they are concerned with the situation and pledges to work with all of those impacted.
He notes Dryden Greyhound will update its customers and provide information as soon as its made available.
