A house fire on Sandy Beach Road is being investigated by the Dryden Fire Service.
Crews were dispatched to the blaze around 5 o’clock Friday afternoon.
Efforts to contain the fire were hampered by strong winds and firefighters spent three hours in a successful effort to save neighbouring buildings and contain the fire.
It took everything the Fire Service had as well as 30-volunteer firefighters to control the stubborn blaze.
Support was also provided by the Ministry of Natural Resources, Oxdrift and Wabigoon.
Sandy Beach Road was closed as a result.
No one was home at the time and no one was injured.
