No Plans Yet To Knock Down Snow Banks

The Public Works Department is waiting to hear more about knocking down the snow banks in Dryden.
Director of Public Works and Engineering Mike Loutitt says there are policies in place that determine how big the snow banks must be before they are destroyed.
Loutitt adds that they are trying to work it out in their budget, which is based on conditions from the previous year.
He says the City was $100,000 underbudget and the snow removal budget this year is about half a million dollars.
He notes that the downtown core is a main priority for snow removal.
Several people have commented on the size of the snow banks in Dryden, with concerns raised on public safety.
