The SIJHL won’t get a chance to host the Royal Bank Cup in 2011.
The bid submitted by the Fort William North Stars to host Canada’s National Junior Hockey Championship has been rejected by Hockey Canada.
The second bid submitted by Summerside, P.E.I was also declined.
Sources say concerns about selling packages and volunteer manpower were cited for the decision.
