Dryden Council is expected to pass a resolution tonight calling on the Provincial Government to abandon an idea floated last month by the Premier.
Ernie Eves says if re-elected, the Tories might order Municipal Governments to hold a referendum every year they want to bring in a tax increase.
Council is united in their opposition calling the $20,000 cost of holding such a vote a waste of money.
