The Ministry of the Attorney General says it won’t entertain a request to review a decision to not lay charges against an Education assistant accused of cutting a boy’s hair at a Thunder Bay School.
However, a Spokesman says the incident is unacceptable and should not have happened.
Nishnawbe-Aski Nation is calling for the review.
Deputy Grand Chief Alvin Fiddler says he wants an examination of the roles of the Police and Crown and why there’s been no action to protect the rights of the 7-year-old child.
