Nathan Lawrence believes the concerns of the north are starting to be heard and addressed.
He was able to bring up several issues at the Ontario Chamber meetings in Cornwall.
Lawrence says concerns raised included high electricity, building up apprenticeships and skills training, infrastructure and the impact of the mining industry on all of Ontario.
The Ontario Chamber has already come on board with the development of an economic impact report on the Ring of Fire.

NOACC is celebrating the fact two local resolutions have been supported at the provincial level.
One calls for a regulation to set aside 26-million cubic metres of accessible fibre for industrial use.
Another was a socio-economic impact assessment on any legislation or policy that could reduce fibre supply.
