Noah, Olivia Remain Popular Names in Ont.

The provincial government has released its top ten baby names for 2021.

There is virtually no change to the lists from the previous year though changed positions from their popularity in 2020.

Noah continues to hold down the number one spot as the most popular boys name.

It has held that position for the past three years.

Liam is close behind as the second-most popular.

Benjamin, the third-most popular in 2020, slipped to the number five position behind Oliver and Jack, which each moved up a spot.

For girls, Olivia remains the most popular name for a twelfth straight year.

Emma takes over the second spot from Charlotte.

Amelia still holds down the number four spot while Ava slips past Sophia for the number five position.

The top 10 names for girls and boys, respectively, in 2021 were:
