NOMA Furious With Greyhound Cuts

Municipal leaders in the Northwest are staging a last ditch effort to reverse Greyhound bus service cuts.

Northwestern Ontario Municipal Association Vice-President Iain Angus says the 50% cut will be devastating for smaller communities in the region.

He says NOMA is frustrated with the whole process since they only found out about the decision last week.

Angus says Greyhound is showing a lack of commitment to proper bus service in the area between our communities as well as Manitoba and Southern Ontario.

He adds many people rely on the service, especially when it comes to medical travel.

The changes take effect September 25th.
