NOMA Ready To Discuss Hot-Button Issues At AMO

Municipal leaders from across the region converge on Ottawa starting on Sunday for the Association of Municipalities of Ontario conference.
Dave Canfield is the President of the Northwestern Ontario Municipal Association and says he’s joining area leaders in the stand against the Municipal Property Assessment Corporation.
Canfield says area communities can’t afford the recent assessments and stresses the system is broken and needs to be fixed.
Canfield also plans to discuss infrastructure, tourism, forestry, and policing costs.
Canfield says he’s lined up meetings with 7 Provincial Ministers.
