A regional lobby group says plenty of people will be left high and dry when Greyhound stops service in our region after October.
Northwestern Ontario Municipal Association President Wendy Landry says the decision leaves a huge void, noting a lot of people can’t afford air travel.
Landry stresses our area is the main connection to the west and to the east.
She adds many communities also rely on Greyhound to ship parcels.
Landry adds they already lobby for funding for regional bus carriers and they’ll step up their efforts.
She calls our needs severe.
