The province has provided some direction to local communities concerning the October 22nd municipal elections.
The nomination period is now about five months shorter this year, compared to the 2014 vote.
The first day nominations can be filed is May 1st and the final day to put your name in will be July 27th.
The changes were made based on consultations with the public and municipalities.
