Local residents have less than a month to apply for a major provincial award.
The Lincoln M. Alexander Award is handed out to young Ontarians who have demonstrated exemplary leadership in contributing to the elimination of racial discrimination.
Folks are asked to nominate a young person from area schools or in the community who have made an important contribution in the fight against ending racism.
The deadline for nominations is May 31st.
Award recipients will be recognized at a special ceremony at Queen’s Park next January.
