The Federal Government announced 6-million dollars in
Biomedical research funding for the Northern Ontario
Medical school yesterday.
Associate Dean of Research Dr. Greg Ross says students
will be studyin g diabetes, heart diseas and a number of
other disorders Northern Ontario residents suffer from.

The Medical School which opens in August, has trimmed
over 2-thousand applicants down to 400.
Interviews begin this weekend to determine who will be
included in the charter class of 56 students.
