The Associate Dean of Research for the Northern Ontario
Medical school says the 6-million dollars in federal
funding announced yesterday, will help equip the Thunder
Bay and Sudbury labs.
Dr. Greg Ross says the school will be providing important
research on diseases that plague the region.

The facility, which opens in August, has trimmed over 2-
thousand applicants down to 400.
Interviews will begin this weekend to determine who will
be included in the first year class of 56 students.
