NORA Is Dead

It comes as no surprise but the Northwest Ontario Recycle Association is officially dead.
Since the beginning of the year, municipalities have been pulling out over a growing debt and much higher levies.
NORA Board Chair Dennis Brown says the organization will divide up the assets and liabilities among all communities in the region.
Brown says the move is disappointing but adds recycling will continue.
The City of Dryden is playing a lead role in forming a new recycling program with Atikokan, Sioux Lookout and Fort Frances already on side.
