NorOnt Resources says it plans to use a mining camp they bought from Cliff’s Natural Resources to springboard their Ring of Fire development.
The company says it has closed the transaction with Cliffs to acquire its exploration camp and equipment at McFaulds Lake.
CEO Alan Coutts hopes that work in the area can start as soon as this fall and winter.
Part of the plan is to clear some of the airstrip at the site as well as build a winter road to Marten Falls.
Coutts adds the camp will be a construction base for the development of its Eagle’s Nest nickel, copper and platinum mining project.
Coutts isn’t ruling out future purchases from Cliffs.
