Norskies Forfeit SIJHL Game With Minnesota

The Minnesota Iron Rangers have their first win of the season, albeit the unconventional way.

The SIJHL says the Thief River Falls Norskies have been forced to forfeit their opening season game with Minnesota due to the use of an ineligible player.

The Norskies won that game 6-1.

No details have been released but the league says the move was strictly inadvertent and unintentional.

That moves the Iron Rangers two points behind Thief River Falls and Dryden GM for fourth in the standings.

Minnesota and the Norskies meet Wednesday night in Hoyt Lakes.
