After failing to capitalize on a chance to reel in the first place Thief River Falls Norskies, the Dryden GM Ice Dogs now sit four points back of the SIJHL lead.
The Norskies relied on goalie Bailey Schmitz Wednesday night in a 2-0 victory over visiting Thunder Bay.
Schmitz stopped 37-shots, including 20 in the third period.
The Norskies win snapped a 13-game winning streak for the North Stars.
The two teams return to action Thursday night.
