North American Stock Market Rebounds From Yesterday

Canadian stocks remain higher midday at the S&P/TSX rebounds from a global rout that sent benchmark indexes into a steep two-day decline.

The current market volatility has been fueled by concerns about China’s economic growth and the threat of an interest-rate hike from the Federal Reserve.

Stocks, commodities and emerging-market currencies continue to gain after China cut interest rates last night.
