North Stars Defeat Ice Dogs

The Dryden GM Ice Dogs are behind the eight ball in the Bill Salonen Cup.

In a game that will be remembered for what happened off the ice, the Thunder Bay North Stars defeated the Ice Dogs 2-1 Tuesday night in a game marred by penalties.

The Ice Dogs once again opened the scoring with Trey Palermo finding the back of the net.

The Dryden GM second period woes continued as they gave two back.

Thunder Bay recorded 51-shots, 28 on 13 powerplay opportunities.

The Ice Dogs only had 13 powerplay chances.

They finished with 34-shots.

The North Stars lead the SIJHL Final 2-1.
