North Stars Outlast Dogs

It was a wild one at the Dryden Memorial Arena between the Ice Dogs and Thunder Bay North Stars.
Stars goalie Marc Nother started it with a goal in the first while the Dogs pulled their goalie on a delayed penalty and the Stars clinched it with 3 shorthand goals in a 6-4 victory.
Dryden got goals from Tyson Holder, Ryan Lobreau, Tyler Newsome and Bryce Maggrah.
The Ice Dogs had two disallowed goals, while the third period was marred with penalties and after the whistle antics. In other SIJHL action Friday, Fort Frances clobbered Iron Range 13-4 and Wisconsin defeated Duluth 6-2.
Dryden and Thunder Bay meet again Saturday at 7:30.
