Northern Medical School Searching For New Dean

It’s the end of an era for one of the key and original members of the Northern Ontario School of Medicine.

Founding Dean Roger Strasser’s contract is up in 2019 and the school has created a search committee for his replacement.

NOSM welcomed its first set of students in Thunder Bay and Sudbury in 2005.

Strasser is encouraging his successor to always keep the focus on the health needs of the people and communities of northern Ontario and improving the health of area residents.

He is encouraging the public to tell the school what they would like to see in his replacement.

It’s hoped Strasser’s replacement will be in place before his final day at the school on June 30th, 2019.

Strasser adds he’ll take some time-off and then come back to the school as a faculty member to conduct ongoing research.
